Leeds United could complete the signing of winger Hadi Sacko from Sporting Lisbon over the course of this week.

Sacko spent the season on loan at Leeds from the Portuguese giants and helped the Whites to finish in seventh spot in the Championship, just outside the playoff places.

While Sacko attracted some criticism from fans due to a lack of end product, Leeds see potential and are keen to secure him on a permanent deal for a fee of around €2m.

Despite the Whites currently being without a head coach following Garry Monk's departure, Sacko could sign later this week, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post

He would represent Leeds' first signing of the summer and also indicate that transfer policy will in part not be the preserve of the club's new head coach.
