Manchester United target Antoine Griezmann is prepared to make a decision on his future following completing his international commitments with France.

The Frenchman is Manchester United’s top target for the summer transfer window and the club have received encouragement from the player over a switch to Old Trafford in recent weeks.

Atletico Madrid have remained confident in public that they will be able to hold on to the player for next season but both the club and the forward know that Manchester United won’t shy away from triggering his €100m release clause.

Griezmann is preparing for France’s upcoming international fixtures, which starts with a friendly against Paraguay on Friday before a World Cup qualifier against Sweden on 9th June.

France will host England for a friendly on 13th June and according to French sports daily L’Equipe, the 26-year-old will make a decision on his future only after fulfilling his international commitments for the summer.

The Frenchman will sit down with his long time adviser Eric Olhats following the England game and discuss his future before making a decision on whether to leave Atletico Madrid.

Money is not expected to be the motivating factor in his decision as at 26, Griezmann is more interested in making strides in his career and is keen on winning trophies.

And despite Atletico Madrid punching above their weight in the league and the Champions League, Diego Simeone’s team have come up short when required over the last two seasons.
