Manchester United target Antoine Griezmann has revealed that his representatives are speaking to Atletico Madrid and a decision on his future will be made soon.

The 26-year-old forward is Manchester United’s top target and there are suggestions that he could be closing in on a switch to Old Trafford in the coming weeks.




The Frenchman has reportedly told Atletico Madrid that he wants to leave and Manchester United are expected to invoke the €100m release clause in his contract.

Griezmann himself has insisted that he is happy at Atletico Madrid, but indicated that his future at the club is uncertain, revealing that his agents are currently in talks with the club.
 


He further added that he has spoken to his Atletico Madrid team-mates about his future and the decision lies with the club president.

Griezmann was quoted as saying by AS: “I am happy at the club.

“My agents are talking with Atletico Madrid, so we’ll see what happens.

"My future will be decided in the summer.

“I’m happy here.

​"I have talked to my coach, Koke and [Diego] Godin but it’s in the hands of the club president.

“We’ll see how things go.”

Manchester United are becoming increasingly confident about getting their main man for the summer and are expecting movement in the saga in the next two weeks.
