Rangers new boy Dalcio Gomes admits he has been left hugely impressed following a tour of Ibrox and the club's training ground.

The forward jetted into Glasgow and was met at the airport by Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha, then going on quickly to pass his medical and agree the formalities of a season-long loan move from Benfica, which was announced on Tuesday.

Dalcio has been settling into his new surroundings and was hugely impressed with Rangers' Ibrox ground, dubbing it "beautiful".

"The stadium is just beautiful and the trophy room is amazing", Dalcio told Rangers TV.

"Here at the training centre the facilities are fantastic too", he added.

The forward is looking to kick on with his development over the next year at Rangers, but insists he is just as focused on helping the Gers achieve their goals, which means scooping up trophies.

"I want to improve myself, but the main thing is to help the club, to help my team-mates to get the titles the club needs to win this year", he added.

Dalcio is Rangers' third signing of the summer as Caixinha looks to revamp the squad following a disappointing campaign which saw the Gers finish just third in the Scottish Premiership standings.

Further signings are expected to be announced in the coming days.
