Inter Milan coach Luciano Spalletti has indicated that the future of Ivan Perisic won’t determine the success or failure of his team.

The Serie A giants have been grappling over the Croatian’s future at the club over the last few weeks as Manchester United put more pressure on to take Perisic to Old Trafford this summer.

Inter have already rejected two offers from the Red Devils for Perisic and are holding out for a fee close to the €50m mark but the winger has already agreed personal terms with the Premier League giants.

The 28-year-old winger could look to force his way out of Inter this summer but Spalletti has made it clear one player won’t make the difference when it comes to the success or failure of his team.

When asked if he is looking for a fresh start with Perisic, the Inter boss said in a press conference: “Let’s get one thing clear – Inter have not won something for a long time so we need to change.

“A single player doesn’t determine whether we are going to win a trophy, a team should not be working that way.

“All players must contribute to his team-mates qualities, each player must become useful and that’s what counts.”

Liverpool have also been linked with a move for the Croatian and even Paris Saint-Germain have retained an interest in the winger.
