Everton are not too keen on signing AC Milan defender Gustavo Gomez this summer and are considering other options.

A delegation representing Everton met AC Milan earlier this week to discuss transfer business and a number of players were discussed during the talks between the two clubs.

AC Milan have reportedly offered the 24-year-old defender to Everton and the club are keen to sell the player for a fee of around €8m, the figure they paid to sign him from CA Lanus last summer.

Everton officials were supposed to speak to Ronald Koeman before returning to the Rossoneri about Gomez and it seems the Toffees boss is not interested in the player.

According to Italian outlet Calciomercato.it, Everton have not warmed up to AC Milan’s offer and have shown little interest in taking the Paraguayan defender to England.

It has been suggested that Everton are looking at other options and it has been claimed that the Merseyside club are more keen on signing Las Palmas defender Mauricio Lemos.

Koeman is eyeing spending big this summer to improve his squad and is weighing up a number of key additions but it seems Gomez won’t be one of the players who will be arriving at Goodison Park.
