Rangers midfielder Andy Halliday insists that he and his team-mates haven't lost their match fitness and will be ready for massive Europa League qualifying games.

By virtue of their third-place finish in the league, the Gers have managed to secure a European spot and will be taking part in the Europa League qualifiers, kicking off later this month.

As a result Pedro Caixinha's side enjoyed just two weeks break before they returned to training on 5th June and the 25-year-old insists that he and his team-mates have no complaints about that.

The short break also means that the players haven't lost their fitness, Halliday believes, something which means Rangers should be able to hit the ground running when the qualifiers get under way.

“We haven’t lost that much fitness, I think that is why we haven’t been doing that much running either", Halliday told his club's official website.

“It was a short break but the reason we got that short break was because we got that Europa League spot and it’s a bonus for the club to get back into Europe for the first-time in five years."

Rangers are now waiting to discover who they will draw in the Europa League qualifying round, with the draw due to be held on Monday.
