Lazio hold an interest in Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic.

The Rome giants are making plans in the event they need to bring in another defender, with both Dutch international Stefan de Vrij and Brazilian Wallace potential departures from the club this summer.

According to Italian daily La Repubblica, Celtic's Simunovic is on Lazio's list as a replacement, if they need another defender.

The Croatian came close to a move to Italy last summer, with Torino chasing him.

He even travelled to Italy to put the finishing touches to a switch to Torino, but the move collapsed at the last minute, sending him heading back to Scotland.

Simunovic has become a key man at Celtic under Brendan Rodgers over the last year and it is far from clear whether the Scottish champions would want to cash in.

If the Bhoys were to sell, it is likely they would look to drive a hard bargain for the 22-year-old centre-back.
