Manchester City have invited Italy Under-17 international Pietro Pellegri, a target for Manchester United, to visit their facilities in order to convince him to join them this summer.

The 16-year-old striker scored his first senior goal against Roma on the final day of last season and is considered one of the brightest prospects to come out of Genoa.




AC Milan have been on his trail over the past few weeks and club sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli has been in talks with his agent to take the youngster to the San Siro this summer.

Pellegri is one of AC Milan’s top targets for the summer and the club are working hard to snap up the youngster but they are facing competition from England for his signature too.
 


Manchester City have been keeping an eye on him for a while and according to Calciomercato.com, they have invited the player and his entourage to visit their facilities.

The Citizens remain keen to get their hands on the top young talents of world football and they have been making a concerted effort to sign Pellegri this summer.

Pellegri is also believed to be firmly on Manchester United’s radar, but Genoa are not interested in parting ways with the youngster, who has a contract until 2019 with the club.

And it has been claimed that his parents also want him to continue at Genoa and develop further before making a big money move.
