Juventus defender Dani Alves admits that he has left negotiations over his future to his agents but has teased a move to Manchester City.

The 34-year-old defender is expected to leave Juventus after club CEO Giuseppe Marotta confirmed earlier this week that they are working on releasing him from his contract.

The Brazilian is expected to move to England and though Chelsea are interested in the veteran full-back, Manchester City are believed to be the frontrunners to sign him on a free transfer.

Alves stressed that he is not aware what is going on behind the scenes and admits that his agents will come back to him with news once they have something definite to report.

However, he insisted that if he leaves Juventus this summer, he will be leaving with his goodwill in Turin intact.

Alves told Conversa com Bial: “I don’t know what’s going on.

“I left all the work to my agents, and they said they will talk to me when there is a solution.

“If I leave, it will be without any confrontation and with no problems, as opposed to what is being said.”

The defender did tease a move to Manchester City when he indicated that he shares a special relationship with Pep Guardiola.

Asked if he will be joining Manchester City, Alves said: “Well, everybody knows about my admiration for Guardiola.”
