Goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald has asked Werder Bremen to let him go this summer and is already attracting attention from a host of clubs in England's Championship, including Leeds United, Norwich City and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The shot-stopper has a further year left on his contract with the Bundesliga outfit, but according to German outlet Spox, he has told the club he wishes to leave and go abroad.

French Ligue 1 side Nantes, where Claudio Ranieri has taken over, are keen, but it is from the Championship where the greatest interest comes.

Leeds, Norwich, Wolves, Nottingham Forest, Fulham and QPR are all claimed to be keen on the custodian.

Wiedwald's contract at Werder Bremen automatically extended by a further year, to 2018, but the goalkeeper feels the need for a new challenge.

Werder Bremen are already looking to add another goalkeeper to the ranks and Wiedwald's request is likely to see the club accelerate their efforts.
