Sevilla defender Adil Rami is interested in a move to Marseille this summer despite attracting interest from Everton.

The 31-year-old defender is expected to leave the Spanish club during the summer transfer window and Marseille are trying to take him to France.




The Ligue 1 club are in advanced negotiations with his representatives over a transfer and Rami is close to agreeing the terms of a three-year contract with the French outfit.

According to French sports daily L’Equipe, the Frenchman is interested in the project at Marseille and keen on a move to France despite offers from Turkey and England.
 


It has been claimed that Premier League outfit Everton and Turkish giants Galatasaray and Besiktas are also interested in Rami, but the defender is looking to join Marseille.

Sevilla want a fee of around €6m for the former AC Milan centre-back and it is unclear whether Marseille are prepared to match that figure or look to negotiate it further.

Rami, who has also turned 33 international caps for France, has a contract until 2019 with the Spanish club.
