Chile coach Juan Antonio Pizzi admits that most players in the world would want to be in Alexis Sanchez’s shoes at the moment but stressed that the Arsenal star is currently focused on his national team duties at the Confederations Cup.

With his contract at Arsenal expiring at the end of next season, there is speculation that Sanchez could leave the Gunners in the summer for greener pastures.

He has so far refused to put pen to paper on a new agreement with the Gunners and has clubs such as Manchester City and German champions Bayern Munich on his tail this summer.

Sanchez has so far refused to say anything on his future during his stay in Russia with the national team and is only expected to take a call at the end of the Confederations Cup.

Chile coach Pizzi admits that Sanchez is happy at the moment and feels most players would love to be in his shoes, with the biggest clubs in the world chasing him this summer.

But he is certain Sanchez is not allowing the talk surrounding his future distract him from his duties with the Chile team.

Pizzi was quoted as saying by France Football: “We can see that Alexis Sanchez is happy.

“He is in a very pleasant situation and everyone wants to be in his place.

"He is wanted by the biggest clubs and he is already at one of the biggest clubs in the world.

“He is nonetheless focused on his obligations here.”
