Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has insisted that he is not directly in negotiations with Manchester United to sell Alvaro Morata this summer.

Morata is keen to play regular football next season and is trying to force his way out of Real Madrid, with Manchester United believed to be his preferred destination this summer.

Manchester United have been in talks with Real Madrid, but Perez indicated that intermediaries are at behind work and he is yet to be part of any direct negotiations with the Premier League giants.

The transfer fee is believed to be the sticking point between the two clubs at the moment and the Real Madrid president refuted suggestions that an agreement has been reached.

He feels there is still a lot of time for negotiations left in the summer, but warned Manchester United that Real Madrid are not the type of club who sell their best players easily.

The Real Madrid president said on esRadio: “I think there are no negotiations between me and United, which doesn’t mean that people around us are not talking and that is normal.

“I have read that we have reached an agreement for I don’t know for how many millions, but it is not true.

“There is no end to it from June to until 31st August and there is time, but we will do what is best for Madrid.

“But Madrid are not a selling club.”

Morata took a break from his holidays in Ibiza and was recently claimed to be in Madrid to facilitate the negotiations between the two clubs.
