Inter have denied being interested in Liverpool forward Sadio Mane.

The Nerazzurri are keen to bolster their options in the summer transfer window and have increasingly been linked with preparing a bid to snap up Mane from the Reds.

But according to Sky Italia, Inter's officials have insisted they are not interested in signing the former Southampton star this summer.

Even if Inter wanted to snap up Mane it is likely they would have found a Liverpool side unwilling to lose the speedster.

Mane has made a big impression at Anfield since joining from Southampton and the club's form nosedived last season when he was away at the African Cup of Nations.

Liverpool will still though be delighted they do not have to fend off speculation about Mane moving to Italy, which could have unsettled the forward ahead of the start of the new season.

Mane has a further four years left to run on his current contract at Anfield.
