Monaco have received a new offer from Liverpool for Thomas Lemar, which comes in at €80m plus Divock Origi on loan, but remain keen to keep hold of the Arsenal target.

Arsene Wenger said earlier this week that Monaco have definitely closed the door on selling Lemar in the current window after Arsenal saw their third bid worth €50m rejected.

Liverpool have been trying to blow the door wide open again since Monday when they slapped in an €80m bid, which forced Monaco to at least think about considering the offer.

The Reds are aggressively pursuing the signing of the 21-year-old French winger and have now thrown Origi on loan into the mix, according to French sports daily L'Equipe.

With Kylian Mbappe expected to join Paris Saint-Germain soon and Fabinho also said to be on his way to the French capital, the Ligue 1 champions have already lost several players from their league title winning team.

Lemar is one of the players they want to hold on to beyond Thursday’s deadline day and their stance of not allowing him to leave in the current window has remained unchanged.

But Liverpool's latest offer is still being considered by Monaco, who may be keen to add Origi to the ranks.
