Swansea City have competition from Serie A for Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony.

The Swans are looking to snap up the out-of-favour Citizens star in a move which could then send Fernando Llorente to Antonio Conte's Chelsea.

But an Italian side are showing interest in Bony and could scupper Swansea's chances of re-signing the striker, and by extension stop Llorente's exit.

According to Sky Italia, Serie A outfit Hellas Verona have asked Manchester City for Bony on loan.

The Italian side want to beef up their attacking options before the transfer window closes and are trying their luck for Bony.

Hellas Verona have scored just one goal in their opening two Serie A games this season and believe Bony would vastly add to their firepower.

It is unclear how much of Bony's wages Hellas Verona could shoulder though and whether the striker wants to move to Italy instead of staying in the Premier League with Swansea.
