Leeds United face a panic over signing Pierre-Michel Lasogga before the transfer window closes after a crucial paper relating to the move was left unsigned.

Lasogga was in Leeds earlier this week putting the finishing touches to a loan switch from Hamburg and when he headed back to Germany all parties thought the move was done.

But there is a big problem, according to Sky Deutschland.

A key piece of paperwork which Lasogga needed to sign was not provided and as such the striker must fly back to Leeds today to put pen to paper on the relevant document.

Leeds now face a race against the clock to get Lasogga back to complete the deal.

The Whites had been expecting a calm deadline day, having signed Pawel Cibicki from Malmo on Wednesday and then announced the move on Thursday morning.

They had been scheduled to then confirm the arrival of Lasogga, but there remains work to do on the German's deal.
