1.FC Koln sporting director Jorg Schmadtke has insisted that the Bundesliga side are going into tonight’s game against Arsenal with the intention of winning at the Emirates.

Arsenal will be opening their Europa League campaign tonight at home when they host Koln in a group clash and are confident of getting their European season off to a good start.




While Arsene Wenger has already indicated that he will be making several changes to his line-up, Arsenal are still favourites to beat Koln at the Emirates when the two clash.

However, the German side are determined to cause an upset and Schmadtke stressed that they are not visiting north London just to make up the numbers.
 


The Koln sporting director insisted that have every intention of beating Arsenal on their home turf tonight to cause a European upset.

Schmadtke told Bild: “We are not here for sightseeing.

“We go into every game, wanting to win.”

Players such as Alexandre Lacazette, Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey did not  report for training with Arsenal on Wednesday and are expected to be left out of the squad.
