Arsenal loanee Lucas Perez admits that he will forever carry the memories of the way he was welcomed back at Deportivo La Coruna last month.

Perez struggled for minutes at Arsenal last season and after months of trying to engineer a move away from the club, he eventually returned to Deportivo on loan on transfer deadline day.

The striker was received back enthusiastically by the club’s fans and he has conceded that the reception he got once he landed in Spain was a brilliant experience for him.

The Spaniard admits that they are the kind of memories he will forever carry with him and stressed that rather than feeling extra pressure to perform at Deportivo, he is experiencing a sense of pride.

Perez was quoted as saying by El Ideal Gallego: “The support I received just after arriving at the airport was amazing and the day of the presentation was also very nice.

“These are memories that will remain with me for the rest of my life and I am not feeling any pressure.

“This kind of affection brings a sense of pride.”

Perez joined Arsenal from Deportivo last summer and played just 265 minutes of Premier League football last season.

He will be looking to impress on loan at Deportivo before thinking about a permanent transfer away from Arsenal at the end of the current campaign.
