Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen has netted the first goal of his loan spell at Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

The Netherlands international flopped at White Hart Lane last term and fell down the pecking order in the summer following the arrival of Fernando Llorente from Swansea City.

Janssen was looking for the exit door and joined Fenerbahce on a season-long loan deal.

And the Dutchman has been on target for Fenerbahce this evening in the Yellow Canaries' Turkish Super Lig trip to Alanyaspor.

Janssen struck in the 23rd minute, getting on the end of a header across goal to guide the ball past the Alanyaspor goalkeeper from close range to make it 1-0 to the visitors in the ongoing game.

The goal will be a welcome confidence boost for Janssen, who struggled to hit the back of the net on a consistent basis at Spurs.

His Fenerbahce debut came in an Istanbul derby clash against Basaksehir earlier this month, as he clocked up just 27 minutes in a game the Yellow Canaries lost 3-2.
