Burnley boss Sean Dyche has warned his team that Leeds United will be arriving at Turf Moor this evening for their EFL Cup tie believing anything is possible due to sitting top of the Championship table.

Despite the season being still in its early stages, Leeds are already on the promotion war path and only lost their unbeaten record at the weekend, when slipping to defeat at Millwall.

The feel-good factor is firmly in place at Elland Road and the Leeds faithful are increasingly believing it is a question of when and not if they win promotion back to the Premier League.

Dyche knows his men will face a Leeds side high on confidence and has warned the Clarets to make sure they do not lose sight of the importance of the cup tie.

"Leeds have had a really good start with the obvious blip at the weekend", Dyche told his club's official site.

"Their challenge is obvious; a big club trying to get back into the big league.

"I don’t know where the cup ranks in importance for Leeds but we have to take the game seriously, as we always do.

"They’re a big club at the top of the league who will have a heightened feeling about what is possible this season.

"It’s important to remind our players that this is another important game", the Burnley boss added.

Leeds reached the quarter-final stage in the EFL Cup under former boss Garry Monk last season, being knocked out by Liverpool 2-0 at Anfield.
