Frank Sinclair feels that Alvaro Morata has shown he has a bit of everything during his time at Chelsea so far.

The Spaniard, who Chelsea splashed big money to sign from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, grabbed his first Blues hat-trick in a 4-0 win over Stoke City on Saturday.

Sinclair believes that Morata has had a number of critics this season and, while the former Chelsea man admits the Spaniard has big shoes to fill in Diego Costa, has backed him to prove worthy of the task.

"You've seen a bit of everything from Morata since he's joined the club", Sinclair said on Chelsea TV.

"He's shown he can lead the line, he's shown he can win headers, he's shown he can run in behind and score goals in that way as well", he continued.

"I think he's going to prove a lot of people wrong this season.

Because of the fact he's taken Diego Costa's position at the club he's going to get a hard time and be compared to him.

"But I think he's had a better start than Diego when he came to the football club", Sinclair added.

Morata, 24, cost Chelsea £60m to sign from Real Madrid with the Spaniard opting for regular first team football at Chelsea rather than staying at the Bernabeu.

He was chased by Manchester United at the start of the summer transfer window, but the Red Devils could not agree a deal with Real Madrid to take him to Old Trafford.
