Chelsea legend Tommy Langley says he is not convinced about Manchester City's defensive ability and is sure the Blues can cause the Citizens problems next weekend.

Pep Guardiola's men are top of the Premier League table and have been in free-scoring form of late, putting five past Roy Hodgson's Crystal Palace side on Saturday.

Langley accepts that if Chelsea allow Manchester City to boss possession then they could be in trouble, but the former Blues star thinks Antonio Conte's men can get at the Citizens at the back.

Manchester City splashed the cash on a new goalkeeper and full-backs over the summer transfer window, but Langley still sees issues, not least with goalkeeper Ederson; he has urged the Blues to test the shot-stopper.

"I still think they have a [problem] at the back, I genuinely do", Langley said on Chelsea TV.

"If you give them possession they are going to hurt you, but if you get [Alvaro] Morata moving like he did [against Stoke] then I think he can create problems.

"I'm still not sure they've got the right goalkeeper in there.

"Let's test him next week", he added.

Chelsea managed to do a league double over Manchester City last term, beating the Citizens 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium and then 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.
