Chelsea legend Tommy Langley believes the Blues must rotate in the wing-back area this season due to the tough nature of the role.

Last term Antonio Conte regularly fielded Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses, when fit, as his wing-backs and Chelsea won the Premier League title in style, with the pair receiving plaudits.

But this season the Blues have Champions League football to contend with and Conte has beefed up his wing-back resources by signing Davide Zappacosta and keeping Kenedy at the club.

Langley rates the pair and feels Chelsea will need to rotate in the wing-back area throughout the season.

He said on Chelsea TV: "During the season we're going to have to do that because it's such a tough job.

"But we've got replacements, we saw Kenedy this week and Zappacosta", Langley added, in reference to the pair playing in Chelsea's EFL Cup win over Nottingham Forest.

The Blues have a difficult week coming up with a trip to Spain to play Atletico Madrid in the Champions League and then a Premier League meeting with league leaders Manchester City.
