Pedro Caixinha's time as Rangers manager has reached a critical juncture and the next three games could be crucial to his future, it has been claimed.

The Portuguese has come under increasing pressure following Rangers' lacklustre league form and early exit from the Europa League.

He has also now sidelined veteran striker Kenny Miller, demoting the 37-year-old to the club's Under-20s following a falling out.

Amid such a backdrop, Caixinha's future could be affected by the next three games, according to BBC Scotland.

The Gers play Hamilton away this evening, before then another Friday night game after the international break, with a trip to St Johnstone on the agenda.

Rangers then have a Scottish League Cup semi-final tie against Motherwell that Caixinha will be expected to navigate without issue.

However, if Rangers are found wanting over the trio of matches, it could be curtains for Caixinha.

The Rangers board may be reluctant to act rashly however, especially as they backed the Portuguese substantially in the transfer market in the summer window.
