Derek Ferguson admits he was not impressed with Rangers at the SuperSeal Stadium on Friday night, despite the Gers running out 4-1 winners and moving into third in the Scottish Premiership standings.

The pressure was further piled onto Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha after the Gers fell behind in the very first minute, but they fought back and claimed all three points.

The display did not impress Ferguson however, who feels on another day it could easily have ended 4-4.

And the former Gers midfielder says that a number of Rangers fans at the game also made clear to him that they were not taken with what Caixinha's men served up at the SuperSeal Stadium.

"On another day it could have been 4-4", Ferguson said on BBC Radio Scotland.

"From a Rangers perspective, I wasn't too impressed.

"They have rolled their sleeves up and they've got the result.

"Maybe it will take the pressure off Pedro Caixinha, but one or two Rangers fans were gesturing to me there at the end that they expect better", he added.

Rangers went into the game amid reports that Caixinha has demoted veteran striker Kenny Miller to the Under-20s after a falling out.

It remains to be seen whether the 37-year-old will ever play for Rangers again.
