Kyle Walker has hailed Manchester City's 1-0 win away at Chelsea and is delighted the Citizens managed to keep a clean sheet at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea found themselves second best against Pep Guardiola's side on home turf and Manchester City took all the spoils courtesy of Kevin De Bruyne.

The former Chelsea player collected the ball outside the penalty area, made progress and then hit a left-footed shot which, rising, smacked into the back of the net in the 67th minute.

Walker was impressed with the performance at the home of the champions and equally pleased with the clean sheet.

He posted a photograph of himself on social media celebrating the result and wrote: "Really good result this weekend against a strong Chelsea team!

"Great to get another clean sheet too!" Walker added.

Manchester City are not now next in action until after the international break when they play host to Stoke City, before then welcoming Napoli to the Etihad Stadium for a Champions League group stage game just days later.

The Citizens' other fixtures in October are Burnley (home), Wolverhampton Wanderers (EFL Cup, home) and West Brom (away).
