French full-back Jordan Amavi has already completed a permanent move from Aston Villa to Marseille on a four-year contract, according to French sports daily L’Equipe.

Marseille signed the defender on a loan deal in the summer and it has been claimed that the deal has turned into a permanent transfer on the basis of an obligatory purchase option.

The deal was set to become permanent after Amavi made three appearances for the club and he has already made six appearances for the club this season in all competitions.

Amavi is no longer attached to Aston Villa, who are set to receive a fee of €10m, and is now contracted to play for the Ligue 1 giants until 2021 after the initial loan deal turned into a permanent move back to France.

The Villans signed Amavi from Nice in 2015, but after relegation from the Premier League, the defender had been keen to leave the club.
