West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has revealed that he has been working his socks off with two attacking players in his squad to improve the team’s results in the upcoming weeks.

A late winner from Diafra Sakho against Swansea at the London Stadium earned Bilic some valuable time just ahead of the international break and lifted some of the pressure on the Hammers after another poor start to the season.

The West Ham boss admits that the atmosphere around the squad has been much better compared to a few weeks ago when they were struggling to garner points.

Bilic has made good use of the break from the grind of the domestic season and admits that he and his coaching staff have been working hard with some of the players to improve their attack.

And the Croat is confident that the hard work will bear fruit on the pitch in the upcoming weeks.

He told West Ham TV: “The whole situation is better than it was, a few weeks ago.

“We have been really working hard, especially with a couple of players who are responsible for our offensive part of the game.

“That is very important for us and we have been missing them.

“It looks good.”

West Ham will travel to Turf Moor this Saturday to take on an in-form Burnley side.
