Leeds United loanee Marcus Antonsson has revealed that he is still not fully happy with his performances for Blackburn Rovers.

The striker, who joined Rovers on a season-long loan deal from the Whites in the summer, has been in good form for his new employers.

Antonsson has thus far clocked up 562 minutes over nine appearances in all competitions for the League One outfit, finding the back of the net three times.

And the 26-year-old Swede explained that although he feels he is on the right track at Ewood Park, he believes he still has scope for improvement.

“I feel that I’m on the right way and starting to feel more comfortable”, he was quoted as saying by the Lancashire Telegraph.

“I’m still not 100 per cent happy with my performance, I feel that I can be even better.

“I feel that I’m improving all of the time, especially coming in to good areas in the box and I’m sure there will be more goals.

“I know myself that one of my strengths is being in the right place to score the goals.”

Antonsson, who joined Leeds from Kalmar in 2016, struggled for game time in his first season at Elland Road.

The forward tasted just 939 minutes of action over 21 games for Leeds in the 2016/17 campaign, scoring three goals and providing an assist.

Antonsson’s present contract with the Yorkshire giants runs until the summer of 2019.
