Neil Redfearn believes Scott Malone would be a good addition to the Leeds United squad in January as he thinks the Whites lack balance at left-back.

Leeds are again expected to be in the market for players in January despite a plethora of new signings in the summer and signing a left-back could be on the cards.




Huddersfield Town full-back Malone has been linked with a loan move to Leeds after struggling to get minutes under his belt at the newly promoted Premier League side.

And Redfearn believes the defender could be a good addition to the Leeds squad in the winter window as the Whites are still struggling to settle on a natural left-back this season.
 


Asked about the rumours surrounding Malone making sense, the former Leeds boss told Radio Yorkshire: “Yes, as it would give you natural balance.

Gaetano Berardi has been given the bulk of opportunities at left-back, but he is naturally right footed and Vernon Anita has also been played in the position.

On loan Manchester United full-back Cameron-Borthwick Jackson has struggled to get on the pitch this season.
