Fernando Llorente has insisted that he is looking to win trophies with Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham came out of nowhere and blindsided Chelsea to sign the 32-year-old striker from Swansea City on the last day of the summer transfer window.

The Spaniard, who has played at Juventus and Athletic Bilbao, is considered a top backup option to Harry Kane at Tottenham and Mauricio Pochettino has already said that the striker adds a winning mentality to his squad.

Ahead of next week’s clash against Real Madrid, the striker is looking forward to the visit to the Bernabeu and admits that he is keen to test himself with Tottenham against the European champions.

He said on Cadena SER’s El Larguero programme: “Any player would like to play against the best teams in the world.”

The striker said: “I have been fortunate enough to play for Athletic and Juventus and I wish I will be able to win trophies with Tottenham.”
