Reading boss Jaap Stam has revealed that his side have watched videos of Leeds United when they were in top form, rather than in their current slump, to prepare for this afternoon's game.

The Whites, who will welcome the Royals to Elland Road, started the season in great fashion before finding themselves in the midst of a mini slump.

Leeds were unbeaten in their opening seven Championship games, winning five of those, as they went top of the league table.

However, Thomas Christiansen’s team are currently fifth in the standings after losing three of their last four league games.

And Stam, who is aware that Leeds will be looking to return to winning ways against Reading, said that his side are aware of the Yorkshire giants’ potential, having watched videos from earlier in the season, when they were in form.

“They have lost their last two and will want to win so we need to be ready for that”, he was quoted as saying by Bracknell News.

“We know what Leeds can do.

“We have watched a lot of videos from when they were doing well earlier in the season.”

Leeds went into the international break on the back of two consecutive defeats against Cardiff City and Sheffield Wednesday respectively.
