Rangers midfielder Josh Windass has expressed his admiration for Inter striker Mauro Icardi, who grabbed a hat-trick in Inter's 3-2 win over AC Milan at the San Siro on Sunday night.

Icardi struck with 28 minutes on the clock before the Rossoneri eventually drew level in the 56th minute through former Liverpool winger Suso.

But just seven minutes later Icardi scored again, putting Inter 2-1 up, while Giacomo Bonaventura looked to have then earned AC Milan a share of the spoils by levelling matters with nine minutes left.

However, Icardi won it for Inter in the last minute by scoring a penalty after Ricardo Rodriguez was judged to have fouled Danilo D'Ambrosio after a corner.

Windass was watching the game and was left hugely impressed with the Argentine.

The Rangers midfielder was especially taken with the striker's movement.

He wrote on Twitter: "Icardi scored three, but his movement off the ball is brilliant."

Icardi has been linked with several Premier League clubs in recent years, but Inter have continued to resist selling him and have the 24-year-old under contract until the summer of 2021.
