Goalkeeper Dorus de Vries insists he is not thinking about the future, but is focused on enjoying the moment with Celtic as the Bhoys again go for silverware.

De Vries was handed a rare chance to start by Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers for the visit of Dundee in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday and kept a clean sheet in a 1-0 win.

If not for De Vries, Celtic could have conceded three times, but on each occasion the Dutch goalkeeper was equal to the task.

Firmly backup to Craig Gordon, De Vries is not enjoying regular first team football at Celtic and admits he does not know what will happen in the future.

But he is loving being at Celtic, a club that won a domestic treble of trophies last term.

"Last summer there were opportunities for me to leave as well but I wasn’t allowed to leave, so that just shows the faith the gaffer has in me and my experience", he was quoted as saying by the club's official site.

"To be here at such a special club, you know you’ve got to be patient. You want to stay involved and create something special here, which we showed last year.

"We still want to create something special this year and to be part of that is something special as well.

"I don’t look to far ahead in the future because you never know. For me Celtic Football Club is an amazing club, I can’t state that enough, and it’s a privilege to be here", De Vries added.

Set to turn 37 years old in December, De Vries joined Celtic from English Championship side Nottingham Forest last year, signing a deal that runs until next summer.
