Motherwell Under-20s boss and former top flight star Stephen Craigan feels that many Scottish players will have no sympathy with Celtic, after the Bhoys were picked apart by Bayern Munich and lost their Champions League encounter 3-0 in Germany.

Brendan Rodgers' men were hoping to head back to Scotland with at least a point in their back pocket, but Bayern Munich were far too good for the Scottish champions and eased to a comfortable win in the group stage game.

Celtic regularly make short work of sides in Scotland, where they are the big fish in the pond, and as such Craigan thinks many Scottish players will not feel sorry about the Bhoys being beaten.

Craigan wrote on Twitter: "More than a few Scottish Premiership players not feeling any sympathy for Celtic at all tonight!"

Celtic will have to go through it all again in their next Champions League group stage fixture, which is also against Bayern Munich.

But Rodgers will be hoping for a different story in front of a packed Paradise, as the Bhoys bid to keep alive dreams of reaching the last 16 in the Champions League.

Last season's Scottish Premiership clubs are due to earn £375,000 each due to Celtic reaching the Champions League group stage.
