Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts has lauded the fans for backing Moussa Sissoko, who he thinks is looking like a new player this season.

Sissoko joined Spurs from Newcastle United in a big-money move in 2016, but endured a difficult first season at the north London club.

The midfielder, who was linked with a move away from Tottenham in the summer, however stayed put at the club.

Sissoko has been in good form for Mauricio Pochettino’s team in the current campaign, with the Frenchman thus far scoring once and setting up another goal in 12 appearances in all competitions.

And Roberts is of the opinion that the Spurs fans not giving up on Sissoko is a big reason behind the 28-year-old’s impressive performances in the ongoing campaign.
