Arsenal will not be able to sign Karim Benzema from Real Madrid in the January transfer window after the Frenchman's agent insisted his client is going nowhere.

Arsene Wenger has long been an admirer of his countryman, but taking Benzema to the Emirates Stadium has been a tough nut to crack for the Premier League giants.

It was claimed earlier this week that Arsenal are back on Benzema's tail ahead of the January transfer window, but the striker's agent says his client will not be leaving the Bernabeu.

Benzema penned a new four-year deal in September and is happy in the Spanish capital, his representative claims.

"Karim Benzema is very happy at Real Madrid", agent Karim Djaziri told Sky Sports News.
