Leeds United head coach Thomas Christiansen believes it is only "small details" that have been costing his men in recent weeks.

After a good start to the season, Leeds have seen their form slump and have gone on an alarming run of four defeats in their last five Championship matches, the latest being a 1-0 loss at Reading last weekend.

There have been calls for Christiansen to make big changes in terms of formation and personnel, but the Dane has hinted that he believes only small factors have gone against his side, insisting he has confidence that the tables will turn.

And the Leeds boss says that his charges know what they must improve heading into Saturday's league meeting with Bristol City at Ashton Gate.

"The message is of course to try and turn the negative results around and take a win", Christiansen was quoted as saying by his club's official site.

"The players know what we need to improve on and what we need to do on the pitch.

"Small details and small mistakes can cost a game, you need a bit of luck at times and you need to take your opportunities.

"In our last three defeats, we had the possibility against Reading and Sheffield Wednesday to go ahead, but we conceded a goal just after our opportunities in both games.

"I have a lot of confidence in the players, they have managed to get to the top of the table and keep six clean sheets in a row.

"Despite us having three defeats, we still have the same group that got us to that position and they have to get us back there", the head coach added.

Leeds have lost their last three away league games on the bounce and Christiansen's men are set to take on a Bristol City outfit that have gone unbeaten for 12 matches in all competitions.
