Trevor Francis believes that Liverpool made it easy for Harry Kane at Wembley on Sunday, after Tottenham Hotspur crushed the Reds 4-1.

Kane continued his superb form, taking advantage of poor Liverpool defending to help himself to a brace as Jurgen Klopp's side found themselves second best in the Premier League encounter.

Francis is an admirer of Kane's skills, but believes Liverpool made it easy for the England striker.

However, the former Sampdoria and Atalanta forward questioned whether Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has it in him to change his side's game when needed, something he feels Arsene Wenger and Pep Guardiola would also struggle to do.

Francis said on beIN Sports: "What I will say is that Harry Kane won't be playing against Liverpool's back four every week.

"Thinking about Klopp and his approach to the game, I think there are one or two managers who simply cannot think about playing any other way, Arsene Wenger, he couldn't go away and look for a 0-0, nor could Pep Guardiola.

“[Jose] Mourinho could and [Antonio] Conte would do the same.

To concede goals like that. I've played football in Italy and if they see things like that…..it's just so cheap."

Liverpool have a clutch of games coming up which Klopp will expect his side to win.

The Reds host Huddersfield Town next weekend before then welcoming Maribor to Anfield for a Champions League fixture.

Before November's international break, Liverpool head back to the capital and will hope for better luck when they take on Slaven Bilic's West Ham at the London Stadium.
