Barcelona have been informed though intermediaries that Liverpool are prepared to sell Philippe Coutinho in the January transfer window for €150m, it has been claimed.

Coutinho was Barcelona’s primary target during the summer transfer window but they found Liverpool to be reluctant sellers and could not find a way to take the Brazilian to the Nou Camp.

The creative midfielder has been willing to move to Barcelona and even handed in a transfer request in the final month of the window but Liverpool remained steadfast in their stance.

However, it seems their stance has been softening and it has been claimed in Spain the Reds may be willing to sell in the new year.

The Catalan giants are keen to revive the deal in January and talks did take place between Kia Joorabchian, one of Coutinho’s representatives, and Barcelona in London recently.
