Inter Milan have joined the transfer melee for Manchester United and Liverpool midfield target Leon Goretzka, who has also been linked with a move to Juventus and Barcelona.

The 22-year-old Germany midfielder's current deal runs out at the end of the season and he is yet to sign a new contract despite a club record offer from Schalke.

A number of clubs including Manchester United, Liverpool, Juventus and Barcelona are keeping their eyes peeled on proceedings in Gelsenkirchen as Goretzka plots his next move.

The German is expected to take a decision during the winter break and it seems he could have more suitors interested in signing him by the time he takes a final call.

According to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter director of football Walter Sabatini is also keeping a close eye on Goretzka and is keen to take him to the San Siro next summer on a free transfer.

The experienced deal-maker is aware of the midfielder’s qualities and wants to make an approach, but he is waiting for a green signal from Inter’s Chinese owners.

The Nerazzurri have moved in late for Goretzka and could be forced to make a decision soon if the midfielder decides to snub the contract offer from Schalke.

German champions Bayern Munich are also interested in Goretzka and are said to be the favourites to bag him next summer.
