Celtic skipper Scott Brown is sure that the Bhoys can use their warm weather winter training camp in Dubai to prepare for their Europa League clash against Zenit St. Petersburg.

The Scottish league leaders are currently enjoying their winter break after a grueling December during which they cemented their spot in the last 32 of the Europa League.

Brendan Rodgers' Scottish champions have travelled to Dubai to enjoy a spell of warm weather training and held their first sessions at the start of this week.

Celtic also visited Dubai last year and it paid off, as the Bhoys won a domestic treble.

Brown, who saw his team reap the benefits last year, hopes for a repeat as this time around the Bhoys look to try their luck in the Europa League where their round of 32 first leg match will take place against Zenit St Petersburg on 15th February.

On their European goals at the start of the season, Brown told his club's official website that the aim had always been to take part in the Europa League and now that it has been achieved they will look to make full use of it.

“That was what we wanted at the start of the Champions League group stages and we managed to do it", Brown said.

"It’s been a long time since we’ve done that so it’s good for the club, and the training camp will help us prepare for that.

“We’ll sit down once we get back from Dubai and set targets again to see what we want to hit and to see how high we can aim yet again.”
