West Ham have reached an agreement with Inter Milan for the signature of midfielder Joao Mario on loan, but the player is yet to give his nod to the move.

Inter have been trying to offload the midfielder in the January transfer window and there was talk initially that Manchester United were interested in taking him to England.




The midfielder has also been very selective about leaving Inter this month and have already rejected moves to Everton, Watford and to the Chinese Super League.

West Ham have also entered the transfer melee for Mario and it has been claimed that the club have made considerable progress by reaching an agreement with Inter over signing him.
 


According to Italian outlet FcInterNews, West Ham have agreed to sign Mario from Inter for an initial loan fee of €1.5m and have reserved the option to make the deal permanent for a transfer fee of €22.5m.

With the agreement between the two clubs thrashed out, the Hammers are now looking to convince the player, who is yet to provide his green signal to the transfer.

The east London club will be hoping to agree personal terms with the midfielder’s representatives soon in the coming days in order to take him to England in the winter window.
