Roma have identified Fiorentina striker Khouma Babacar, who is also on the radar of several Premier League clubs, as a possible replacement for Edin Dzeko, it has been claimed.

Dzeko has been linked with making a move to Chelsea this month, with the Blues also interested in Roma left-back Emerson Palmieri.

Chelsea have offered €50m plus Michy Batshuayi on loan to Roma for the signatures of Dzeko and Emerson.

But it seems Roma are not convinced by Batshuayi, as according to Italian daily La Nazione, the Giallorossi are looking at the possibility of signing Babacar should Dzeko leave the Stadio Olimpico this month.

However, Roma will not have a clear run at the Senegal international as Everton, West Brom and Crystal Palace have been credited with showing interest in the 24-year-old, who has confided to his friends that he is about to leave Fiorentina.
