Arsenal were represented by a scout on Thursday night at the San Paolo to run the rule over several players during Napoli’s Europa League clash against RB Leipzig.

Arsene Wenger is plotting to add a number of players to his squad in the summer in order to turn their fortunes around and make the Gunners worthy contenders again in England.




Arsenal’s scouting team, headed by former Dortmund chief scout Sven Mislintat, have been working hard to identify targets for the club ahead of the big summer transfer window.

And according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.it, an Arsenal scout was at the San Paolo on Thursday night to take in the action between Napoli and RB Leipzig in the first leg of their Europa League last 32 tie.
 


A number of players from both sides have been on the club’s radar, with Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly believed to be a key defensive target for the summer.

Napoli’s Lorenzo Insigne continues to be on Wenger’s radar and there is also talk that the Gunners are also keeping close tabs on RB Leipzig striker and Liverpool target Timo Werner.

The Serie A side suffered a 3-1 loss to RB Leipzig, with Werner scoring a brace to put the German club in the box seat for qualification to the round of 16 of the competition.
