Netherlands legend Ronald de Boer believes Chelsea and Manchester United linked winger Justin Kluivert is still too inconsistent to move to a big club.

The son of another Netherlands great in the shape of Patrick Kluivert, the 18-year-old winger has taken very little time to catch the eye of some of the big names of European football with his performances at Ajax.

Manchester United and Chelsea have been linked with having an interest in the youngster and even Barcelona are now keeping a close watch on him through their scouts.

De Boer insisted that Justin has everything to succeed at the top level and believes he is the kind of footballer who can fill stadiums because of his talent.

However, the Dutchman feels the youngster is still not ready to move to a bigger club and needs to become more consistent in the coming years.

De Boer told Dutch daily De Telegraaf: “I compared Justin to Neymar. He has everything to make it to the top.

“He is an incredibly high quality player for whom people come to the stadium, but a switch to Barcelona in the summer would be too early.

“Justin is still too fickle – it’s all or nothing for him at the moment.”

The youngster has a contract until the end of next season with Ajax.
