Juventus have gone to work to secure a replacement for Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain defensive target Alex Sandro.

The Brazilian full-back was in demand last summer too when Chelsea wanted to sign him, but Juventus refused to lower their asking price, leading to Sandro continuing at the club.

Chelsea are unlikely to rekindle their interest in the defender, but the 27-year-old still has suitors in England in the form of Manchester United, where Jose Mourinho has identified him as his top choice to replace Luke Shaw.

And there are suggestions that Manchester City and PSG are also keeping close tabs on the Brazilian ahead of the summer transfer window.

Juventus are resigned to the fact that they are going to lose Sandro in the coming months and according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, they are already preparing to rope in a replacement.

Luis, 32, has been ruled out for the rest of the season because of a fractured fibula, but the injury has not stopped Juventus from considering signing him in the summer.

The Brazilian has a contract until the end of next season with Atletico Madrid.
