Roma coach Eusebio Di Francesco says he has great respect for his side's Champions League semi-final opponents Liverpool, but is determined to focus on one game at a time.

The Giallorossi put Barcelona out in the quarter-final stage of the Champions League, while Liverpool saw off Manchester City.

Both Roma and Liverpool sense a big opportunity to reach the final of the Champions League, but Di Francesco wants to focus on Serie A duty first.

Roma are due to play Genoa and SPAL before they travel to Anfield for the first leg of their semi-final tie.

Di Francesco, who is aware of Liverpool's attacking power, told Rai Sport: "The games must all be treated in the same way.

"We have to think about Genoa and SPAL, and then Liverpool.

"We have above all to improve in the league. We can do well in the Champions League.

"We have great respect for Liverpool. They are a team who have scored as many goals as Lazio."

Roma played out a 0-0 draw against Lazio in Serie A on Sunday, keeping a side who have scored 75 goals in 32 league games quiet.

Both Roma and Lazio have 61 points and sit in third and fourth place in Serie A, respectively, as they battle for a top four finish.
